Well hello there! I’m Erin and while we may or may not personally know each other, in the south we have a way of unearthing mutual friends, family, and/or commonality that connects us. As such- whoever you are- consider yourself practically family. This little spot in the infinite internet universe is my avenue for sharing everything that tickles my fancy. From living in and discovering a small town, to food, to art, to rearing three precocious children, there will be little consistency to what I post. In lieu of theme, however, I will strive for honesty in sharing the things I love and learn.
So how about a little background? I am from Little River, South Carolina, a small coastal town on the border between the two Carolinas. Famous only for being a hideout of Blackbeard’s and the Blue Crab Festival, it’s a small town chock full of good people. I believe it’s also one of the reasons we moved to High Point from Charleston. I was looking for a small, southern town to raise my own three children.
I spent over a dozen fabulous years in Charleston, enjoying joyriding the harbor in our Carolina Skiff, discovering barrier islands, devouring some of the best food in the world, and making friends with some of the best people on earth. It’s where I met my husband and most of my best friends, where I went to College and learned to appreciate the finer things in life. My love affair with the Holy City is far from over, but we are setting down new roots in a new city that has its own charm. I hope you’ll join me for the journey!
